This policy brief, developed within the EU-funded project “Preventing Extremism and Radicalisation in Youth through Sports” (PRECYOUS), summarises the outcomes of four Youth Forums held in Kumanovo and Lipkovo between January and August 2025. It captures the voices of over 80 young people, civil society actors, and local authorities who explored how sports can serve as a platform for inclusion, dialogue, and resilience.
The brief presents concrete youth-led recommendations for municipalities and stakeholders — including the creation of sports-for-inclusion platforms, integration of media literacy into sports activities, and support for girls’ and rural youth participation. It highlights how empowering young people to lead community initiatives can strengthen trust, reduce polarisation, and foster lasting social cohesion.
